It’s been a minute since the Mint Julep Quintet had some of the spotlight – we’re grateful that people have opted to book the full size band so consistently, but it will be nice to revisit the quintet book for its swing era and trad jazz combo repertoire. Join us on June 7, 2019 at the Cary Arts Center for the 6th Annual En Plein Air Art Auction and Gala, which features the works of 27 local artists painted outdoors with an auction and live music provided by yours truly from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The show is free to everyone, we hope you’ll support local artists with your feet and be inspired.

The State of Things, December 11, 2015
On Friday, December 11, 2015, tune into WUNC from noon to 1:00 p.m., we’ll be appearing on The State of Things, hosted by Frank Stasio! Frank will interview bandleaders Laura Windley and Lucian Cobb, and the Mint Julep Quintet will play a few tunes – we’ll be talking about our performances and travels from the past year and the release of our new album, Battle Axe!

Mint Julep Quintet Returns to G2B Gastro Pub, November 17
After a successful first show at G2B Gastro Pub, they have invited us back to perform again on Saturday, November 17! Come join us for one of the most delicious meals in Durham, prepared by Chef Carrie Schleiffer and served by her stellar waitstaff. We love the fried mac and cheese, goat cheese croquettes, sweet potato wedges, and believe that they truly have the best burger on the planet.
We’ll have a couple of new tunes this go around, come to listen or come to dance!
